Our Free Range Heritage Bronze Turkey Crown come from slow-grown, free-range Bronze turkeys raised on the pasture of Slades Farm in Devon, where they have been rearing these turkeys for the last 80 years.
Living a proper free-range life, the turkeys roam and forage on natural grass pastures, growing slowly and naturally without artificial additives or growth promoters. After reaching their natural maturity, they are dry-plucked and game-hung on the farm using time-honoured methods that enrich the flavour and tenderise the meat.
A turkey crown is the whole breast section left on the bone, with the legs and wings removed. It’s the perfect choice for smaller gatherings, or for anyone who prefers the tender white breast meat without managing a whole bird. Keeping the breast on the ribcage helps keep it moist, flavourful, and evenly shaped for roasting.
The result is a bird of outstanding quality: succulent, flavoursome, and the perfect centrepiece for your Christmas table. With animal welfare and sustainability at the heart of every stage, it’s no surprise these turkeys have been awarded Gold by both Food Drink Devon and Taste of the West 2024/25.
