Yes, this is still safe to pop in your freezer at home due to the nature of blast freezing.
There are a few ways we recommend to defrost your produce before cooking.
You can of course leave it in the fridge to slowly defrost, which will take up to 24 hours depending on the size of the cut.
Alternatively, you can place it in its packaging in cold water, refreshing the water every 30 mins or so. Some small pieces of meat and poultry will be defrosted in an hour using this method.
The third option is to place it in its packaging into warm water, about 60 C / 140 F. Chicken can defrost in 10 minutes, but all produce defrosted this way will need cooking right away.
We know there are stereotypes around frozen food, but we do things a little differently to make sure our produce is of the highest quality. We follow a blast freezing process, unlike conventional freezing, which keeps the ice crystals formed as small as possible, so that it does not affect the taste or texture of the meat.
The end result is naturally preserved produce, without relying on artificial preservatives, that is professionally frozen by our team of master butchers at its peak quality, ready for you to enjoy at your convenience.
